Welcome to the First IPO/COMET NPOESS Curriculum Development Workshop.

Our goals in sponsoring this workshop are to:

Evaluate effectiveness of current polar-orbiting satellite training efforts and how they prepare the user community for future initiative such as NPOESS
Identify common training initiatives that address multiple constituencies’ needs that the COMET program in cooperation with the IPO can use for guidance in planning future learning materials
Encourage collaboration in future polar-satellite meteorology training and education efforts

Please Note:
In order to make the most efficient use of our short time together during the workshop, there will be a threaded discussion running that will address some of the background issues concerning polar-orbiting satellite meteorology. To that end, we ask that each attendee fill out the short questionnaire linked below. The information that we collect will allow us to customize the workshop to interesting and informative to the greatest number of participants.
