Training Resources Development Workshop
Welcome to the NPOESS/COMET Training Resources Development Workshop Home Page! This 2-day workshop is designed primarily to evaluate effectiveness of current polar-orbiting satellite training efforts and how they prepare the user community for future initiatives such as NPOESS. It will look into identifying common training initiatives that address multiple constituencies’ needs that the COMET program (in cooperation with the IPO) can use for guidance in planning future learning materials. We will also encourage collaboration in future polar-satellite meteorology training and education efforts.
We are aware that the Wednesday 3 May afternoon session of the NPOESS workshop might conflict with the break-out sessions for the GOES Users' Workshop. If you are involved with the GOES Workshop break-out sessions, please feel free to begin your attendance at the NPOESS workshop on Thursday morning 4 May.
An additional note:
A registration fee of $80.00 to cover the cost of food and miscellaneous items
provided by COMET will be collected on the first day of
the NPOESS/COMET Workshop. Please be prepared to pay this registration fee
in cash.
