COMET® Advanced Hydrologic Sciences Course 08-1 Home Page
29 July - 7 August 2008 (July 28 and August 8 travel days)

Welcome to the COMET Advanced Hydrologic Sciences Course Home Page! This two-week science course is designed for hydrologic forecasters at the RFCs and senior Service Hydrologists at the WFOs. A background in basic hydrologic science as well as experience in hydrology is required . Course objectives are to advance the skills and knowledge of the forecaster through training and demonstration of current and near future advances in hydrology including data, scientific theory, modeling, verification, and interagency collaboration. Topics will be taught at the graduate level by experts from various agencies and universities. Exercises will provide hands-on experience of the lecture material and foster interactions among the participants.
