COMET Basin Customization Course

Basin Customization Course Home Page

This 3-day course is designed to provide WFO personnel the GIS skills and tools needed to customize high resolution basins that have been delineated by NSSL. These basins are used in the Flash Flood Monitoring and Prediction (FFMP) application included in AWIPS. The class will use a combination of lecture style presentations and hands-on laboratory exercises to provide participants necessary skills to identify, create, alter, and re-define basins to better support local flash flooding needs.
