QPF Overview Materials and Streaming Lectures

Welcome to the COMET RFC/HPC Hydrometeorology Course Home Page. This course is designed primarily for HPC and RFC HAS forecasters. This six-day course will focus on the QPE and QPF issues for time periods varying from six hours to several days. Classroom lecture and laboratory exercises are designed to enhance the scientific knowledge required to interpret multisensor data and numerical guidance. The impact of QPF on hydrologic models will be demonstrated in presentations and workshops during the latter part of the course. The interaction among class participants will assist with developing a necessary working relationship between HPC and the RFC HAS forecasters.
